Thanks so much SABClick. Did you like one more than the others? I really had a hard time narrrowing down what shots to use of this kitty because her eyes are astonishing.

Sorry - I can't decide. Every time I try, I keep changing my mind.

If you really push me, I'd say #1 because it's got that National Geographic 'Big Cat' look about it, but then I immediately swing towards the more playful look captured in the others.

I think you already got it right: 1 2 3 4 in that order (all good).

5 doesn't work for me. The wooden bar covers up and distracts + Too little DOF - too little % of image is in focus.

1st 4 are great!

Not easy to pick the best one here - cracking shots - but I'll go with #2, closely followed by #3. The expression is brilliant and the blue eyes are spectacular.

I like #2, as some the kitty looks a little less than pleased, and #2 seems more relaxed (and tolerant of the photographer).

These are probably the best cat pictures you've posted.

Thanks for all the nice words about my blue-eyed Deezi kitty. She really does make a great subject. I'm so new to this I don't even know how to enhance color in PP so what you are seeing is her eyes straight from camera. They are truly amazing - and inspiring.

Re: the lenses used (interestingly, several of these were rentals. Looking at the pics now, I would almost buy that 28-135 but I just invested in the 24-105L. Hope it does me as well!)

Thanks so much! Hopefully I will just get better. At least now I have some idea what I'm doing, as opposed to 3 months ago when I picked up a DSLR for the first time. Ack.
