Hey I've searched the rest of the posts here and everyone is looking for packs outside my price range so I figured I'd make a new topic. I'm getting my first canon rebel xs very soon and I'd like a backpack to go with it. I'm trying to keep the price as low as possible, so far I'm looking at this one: http://www.bhphotovideo.com …ku=448710&is=REG&mode=edu (external link)

Please let me know if you guys know of a better back pack for the price or a similar one for a lower price. Thanks a lot.

Check out the Lowepro Mini Trekker or Micro Trekker.

Think tank also carries some nice bags.

I've checked a bunch of other posts and everything - as mentioned earlier - is a bit out of my price range. I'm looking for a bag that can hold my laptop, some other accessories (charger for the laptop, book etc..) and my camera. I'm getting my first dSLR so I'll only have what comes in the kit in terms of lenses and accessories. Let me know what you guys would recommend. Thanks.

PS I have a tripod as well.

I don't think your first choice will hold your laptop, too.
Before I read your second post, I was gong to recommend a flipside 200. I have the 300 and love it. I can get my Eee in it, but it isn't meant to hold a laptop.
If you are talking 1 Rebel + regular-sized lens (not a big zoom) + laptop and accessories - and I might get flamed for this - but why not just a regular backpack. You could put your rebel box inside to protect it, or get a Styrofoam insert from some other purchase and make a box, or any number of things as padding.
I had a Rebel for years that I carried in a regular backpack inside of a padded bag I got with a pair of shoes.
I think you only *need* a camera bag when you've got multiple lenses and other accessories that need managed. IMHO

if you need room for a laptop also, then check out the kata dr-467 backpack. i have it and it's a great bag.

it's on sale at BH for $60:

there's also lowepro fastpack series if you want to check those out. these models can hold laptops also.... but they're a little bit more expensive

Just in case anyone is in a similar situation I've decided to go with this pouch: http://www.bhphotovideo.com …201_SLR_Zoom_Holster.html (external link) I only have the kit lens and I have a pretty good backpack already so I figure I'll just put that pouch inside my backpack. When I get more lenses I'll invest in another bag.
