After 2 weeks of complete frustration, the field at Giants Stadium was a free for all for photographers. I left my 300 home and spent the 1st "watching" the game, not wanting to shoot. NO excuses, should have brought my "A" game ... but hey ... I'm getting a ring baby!!!!

1) Team - State Champions! JPEG as is, cropped. Not my best work

2) The Play of the game - for the second game in a row this hero broke 3+ tackles and ran for a 50+ yard TD to seal the game. Unreal!

This is the 3rd tackle before he zig zags the final 20 yards. I need to upload the series and video!

3) The end to a great great TD play ... this kid made history with this run. Summit HS football is at 104 years of football and he cemented his name in with the greats. ** not a great pic at all, but I love the All-State guy celebrating. He did not know anyone! and it was that great of a run even he was going nuts. ** He was running the All State half time field goal contest

4) The catch that set up the 1st TD ... this photo is soft!

Congrats on the Summit win Vin! all the pics are great, especially the jubilation shots. While I agree that having the kids play at Giants Stadium is a great experience, the fact that there are sooooo many empty seats just takes away from it. All these games should be played at the higher seed, or smaller neutral sites. If we ever get to real overall group champions here in NJ, then having all the games at Giants Stadium would be great.

Can't wait to see some more.

Summit had it filled from the 30 to the 30, it was unreal for a thursday 5:00 game, I have to find a photo ... it still looks empty, but it was the most crazy.

I used to think like you ... but seeing the replay's and hearing the announcers, Giants' Stadium is the place to be.

Bad point, they give you 10 minutes to celebrate, then rush you to the bus. What a shame.

My mistake, they backed from the goal line to the 40 of the west end zone. Not bad for a small central jersey town.

Vinny,

Glad you were able to shot this game.. I didn't know you were a Summit Guy. Willie Wilson was the best player I ever saw from Summit. Growing up in Verona we used to compete against summit in the old suburban conference.. Great shots and enjoy the championship

I am actually not a summit guy at all, I was a morris hills guy. taught and coached at Whippany and Hanover. So I guess you can say I'm a hanover guy now. Which brings me to the ... "I am a liberato guy" I coached for him from 99-02 and he brought me on this year as his video/photo guy.

Just a lucky year for me to be there.

But what a great history they have, as does that old, old conference.
