I'm considering this camera just for something small and lightweight to take on travelling trips when I'm spending time with family and not carrying around a huge camera and a plethora of lenses.

So does anyone have one of these? Another reason I think it would be cool is because its in film and I have to print them, a lot of my pics stay on my pc.

I don't have one but I've had experience with one through a photo professor I had in college who used one extensively while traveling.

initial impression is that you don't really have any control over the exposure, it's auto aperture/auto shutter, BUT the lens on it has very unusual rendering properties. It tended to skip the subtle hues and emphasize the primary colors. Combine that with a slightly soft center that gets increasingly worse towards the the edges and some intrinsic vignetting and what you have is a camera that really makes the world look like a carnival.

makes me want to dig up my holga and go play.

I never understood lomography. I guess there is a unique look to the pictures but they always looked too artsy in a cliche kind of way to me.

I've used a friend of mine's, fun little camera. You should check out photos that people have taken on Lomography!

That's part of the fun, I think. Also why I can't manage to get myself to get rid of my Holga.

i read so many bad reviews on this i didn't get it in the end.

I got a Yashica 35 gsn i think and that was in great condition but all the pics came out underexposed.

I just got a Minolta X370, one it so far but haven't got anything developed yet to see if it is fully functional

Are these cameras more prone to light leaks than a regular Holga?

This, while expensive, would be a fun toy to have if leakage is a bit less of a problem than my Holga. My little toy is almost gloss black with the amount it leaks...fun, but sometimes annoying.

No, the LC-A+ is much more secure and is made out of metal as opposed to the plastic of a Holga.

I agree, leaks can be fun sometimes, but if it blotches out the whole photo, it's quite irritating...
