Maybe this is widely known on this forum, but I've just "discovered" FotoTime's (free) album viewer and it does most of what Zoombrowser does and much more.
So far, all it seems to lack is the abililty to catalog removable media (you have to create a FotoAlbum CD, which includes a viewer), to always pass filename parameters to other programs (it doesn't pass names to Canon's PhotoStitch), and to catalog the Canon's .AVI files.
What it adds is the ability to create virtual albums, to automatically detect when files are added or deleted, to keep multiple backups of its index database, and what seems to be a considerable speed advantage over ZoomBrowser. Not to mention the ability to synchronize files on your disk with their web site (though this is free for only one month).
