I just bought one of these filters and it arrived the other day... Playing around with it is a ton of fun, but my question is... When it's being used, it's most effective at a 90* angle from the sun, correct? Now, when you rotate the filter element, the severity of the polarization is changed. When people talk of being 90* from the sun, does that mean the object you are shooting (so the sun would be directly to your left, or right), or a 90* angle from the polarization of the filter? (in such, you would rotate it to be most effective). Now in the case of B+W, they have two little notches in the filter, are those notches the direction of the polarization? Or just a random assembly thing?
Just want some basic know-how of using these filters. I seem to do good with it, but it's more playing around with it versus setting up properly then shooting.
Thanks!
