Blue Tack (external link) is a handy product for table top work.

It's a low-stickiness, adhesive putty that's moldable and reusable.

yup.. but that's assuming you're not using that for 'heavy-duty' stuff like cameras..

my goodness! that was a hell lot of effort put in ! now i know how the HTC Hero picture was rendered. gees. can never afford so much time to take just one product shot. lol.
