After getting back from my vacation a few months ago I tried downloading the pictures to my laptop (DPP). It was taking a very long time doing this so I stopped the action and removed the card from the reader. Put it back in the camera (7D) and it said no images found 
Quickly placed it back into the reader and saw all the files missing and had the names with funny characters. At that moment I knew something got screwed. So I fired up one of the resecue programs and was able to recover most of the images but some were corrupt.
Now I tried formatting the card in the camera and was successful but I noticed that after taking one picture the active LED stays on for a few seconds (~10sec) where as before it was a second or two. Reformatted it agin in the camera, same thing. Formatted it in the laptop and got an error saying it cannot be formatted 
Now it can't be recognized in the camera or the laptop (doesn't show up).
Is it pooched?? Only had it for a few months (3 tops). It's the Transcend 8GB 600X.
