Hi Folks

I wanted to get my mother a book (or maybe DVD) to help her leanr and use her Canon t1i (I bought mine after testing her T1i out during Thanksgiving). She is not really old, but english is her second language and so I would really appreciate suggestions on books that.
1. have a lot of pictures showing how to do settings, etc
2. basic advice on taking better pictures
3. be specific to canon t1i (because if some book says, "change the f stop or aperture on your camera..." she won't know how to do it) with instructions specific to T1i

If there is a DVD or something out there that is good, I would love to consider that too!

I have always been able to find any information that I might need online. I realize that some like to read versus sit in front of a computer. The Canon Digital Learning Center (external link) usually has some good tips and techniques. The time that I have spent there it seems they give the basics and the best learning is to take these and put them into play. There is nothing quite like practice to learn your tools the best. The other resource that I found is a book at Camera Books (external link). This book is specific to the camera you are inquiring about but I have no personal experience with this book or its author.

My life is like one big RAW file....way too much post processing needed.

I recommend dvd's all the time to people who want to know their camera's better. Let's face these companies make great cameras but horrible instructions. Take a look at this dvd found it quickly with Bing.

I purchased a Magic Lantern's Book/DVD. There are two DVDs in the book. One covers basics of DSLRs and the other specifically covers T1i. I would recommend it.
