What a beauty,

That's a nice clear shot of a lovely bird I've never seen before Anke.
If you're not opposed to such things, some post processing could help to deal with the problematic environmental elements... including the twig in front of the beak.

Anke, a quick edit for you. You could take out the stick too if you like. I didn't take the time for that. It's a great shot of a very pretty bird.

Nice capture. I'd love to get to Tiritiri Matangi some time. The Hihi is such a pretty little bird and its quite sad that it was right on the brink of extinction. Even now there's less than 1000 adult birds.

Thank you, it was a beautiful day out to visit the island. My advice though is to stay overnight as there is so much to see.
