The 40D was/is a great camera for shooting hockey....

With that said, the 7D takes it to another level. Less Noise at High ISO's, Faster AF with more AF points and quicker FPS...What's not to like!!

Seriously, with the faster teams, I prefer the 7D over the 40D. When I shoot JV or below, then I use the 40D.

What settings do you use now? Can you post a couple examples of each?

Hey Alan !
Nice & clean for 1600 ISO.
Obviously you're happy with it...I'm shooting at a tournament this weekend an there are some dim barns. Need a better performance at high ISO. (maybe a post-Christmas sale !)
