I have been around a longtime and used many cameras. I was helping a friend out with his 7D and for the life of me could not get consist wb results. Everything (in door artificial light) always has a reddish tint to it and is very inconsistent in exposure from shot to shot. It has been a while since shooting canon and it seems i ran in to this before with canon bodies.

What is your secret besides custom WB everything which its feasible all the time.

They have different WB settings, including K..... Depending on light sources.

Set WB manually, or shoot RAW and adjust in post process, thats what i do

And yes i know, its something Canon has issues with...Most people agree on this though a lot of cameras botch tungsten light...

If you don't want a RAW ride, you can use jpeg with the WB set to K and around 2700K.

The issue with this is there is a lot of times a tint problem too right? At least from what i've seen. That temp alone doesn't fix. If you don't want to use raw and don't want to use custom wb, i like to do this:

Throw it into live view mode and go through the presets, pick the one that looks the nicest or fine tune something till you get what you want. Sometimes under fluorescent lighting it's not the fluorescent one that you need to use. Also I don't like to correct indoor lighting all the way, stuff looks imho nicer when left a tad warm--imho.

I shoot RAW and Manual now, after 5 years with DSLR's. So, if you haven't started shooting RAW yet, you can start. :)

I shoot raw. The thing I have noticed in the 12 years of shooting and the first 10 of those canon. Is With my N___n gear the WB is simply amazing in all lighting conditions and exposure as well without compensating. I was hoping to find different results when helping a buddy with his new 7D. We spend 6 or 7 hours in the studio and outside.
