Here's a 10D evening photo of a bridge in Winnipeg, Canada, taken a few years ago. I used a fairly cheap EF 28-105 f/3.5-4.5 lens...

You don't need the latest and greatest to take good photos. I remember when doing a photography class years ago in the days of film, a girl in the class had an old manual camera whilst we all had the latest auto SLRs. She took the best pics out of the lot of us! Canon EOS 10D, 380EX Speedlite, Sigma 18-125mm HSM OS, Canon 75-300mm mk2 USM, 50mm f1.8 mk1, Sigma 18-50mm

It is a great camera to learn photography and I now believe that it produces great images as long as you keep it under 400 iso. I am newbie and still learning from great people here at POTN. Here is my first pic from 10d. I am hoping I resized the image for posting properly.

I especially enjoyed the Boat/Ocean horizon, the City/Ocean horizon, shots, and the Pelican/horizon. ![]() -Bruce Hello. The photos were all taken at different times so not really a set. Just re-read this entire thread. I might have to dust off my 10D and take a few shots and compare to my 40D using the same lens on both. 10D, 40D, 7D Mk II, 70-200 f/2.8L IS USM, 2x Extender, 17-40 f/4L, 85 f/1.8, 18-55 IS, 28-105 f/3.5-4.5, 10-18 STM, SB-24, YN-565EX

I also have XSi for 9 months now but I like the quality of images from 10d over XSi. Good bargain, but its no surprise, its an old camera. Can you tell me how you know how many exposures its made(that is what you mean by 9922 clicks right?) How do I find that out on my 10D? 5D | 30D | Canon IXUS 265HS | Oppo Smartphone

Jun 23, 2010 06:55 | #329 Not to butt-in, but I think the only way to know is by an actual photo count from new. EOSInfo doesn't work on DIGIC II bodies. 10D, 40D, 7D Mk II, 70-200 f/2.8L IS USM, 2x Extender, 17-40 f/4L, 85 f/1.8, 18-55 IS, 28-105 f/3.5-4.5, 10-18 STM, SB-24, YN-565EX
