Very nice images, Mark. Your images have helped me to identify a hawk that I have seen in my front yard. Originally, I thought that it was a red tailed hawk, but now am convinced that it is a red shouldered hawk.

Ah, this is not a Red shouldered, sorry, it is an Immature Swainson's hawk. Don't feel bad, I had a falconer friend who had one for a year, everyone (including me) thought it was an odd red tail, but when it molted after it's first year, it did not get a red tail. : (
