Excluding the frame:confused: THat is a stunning photo of your dog. You got the colors perfectly set. Wonderful!

Thanks :D I kinda wish I had excluded the frame and I don't have a backup copy . Oh well , I'll keep on shooting and learning as I go along.

Great shot. Makes me miss my German Shepherd. She loved the snow as well. In a pose like this, she would have had snow piled up on her nose.

How about a 5X7 crop, eliminating some of the black brush in the rear? Another beauty though.

#1 is a nice shot -- not so excited about the frame. First lesson to learn - never work on the original. I always save any work I've done as a different file.

I really like #2. I like the composition as is, but I would punch up the saturation a bit -- don't over do it -- and adjust the white balance to get rid of the blue cast. A very nice shot that would make a beautiful print.

Vidcanon - you asked me about white balance adjustments. Your image editing was turned on, so I took the liberty of doing a very quick adjustment. You don't notice the adjustment so much in the Doxie shot, but I think you'll see what I mean in the Lab shot. I brought both of these into Lightroom to work on. Tough to work on small jpegs, but you get the idea.
