Mission: Unlikely :D

The phone rings, you're needed stat for a portrait session. Head shots. You will be given a large sum of money to complete the shoot. The downside is, you don't know the shooting conditions. It could be indoors, it could be outdoors, it could be in a frickin' closet.

You have just enough time to grab one flash, one stand, and one modifier.

What do you pick and why?

I own that :D

I think I'd grab a 32" covertible umbrella, 580EXII and CP-E4, and my stand of course.

My modifiers and light stands live in the trunk of my car, and everything else is in a backpack. No need to choose until I arrive at the scene. ;) :D

Did you lose Digital Photo Professional (DPP)? Get it here (external link). Cursing at your worse-than-a-map reflector? Check out this vid! (external link)

Oh Ok, I am looking adding that SB to my gear list. but have a question.
With that kit link above, is there a issue with adjusting the flash output + /- Fec on the back (controls) of the flash and getting into the softbox, etc...eact time you have to make an adjustment... Westcott items.

thanks
Joe

Hmmm... he did say "flash". I would bring a Bee but I don't own a portable power pack (Vagabond II) yet. I guess I would grab my speedlight, umbrella and stand for my lighting equipment.

That's a good setup, but what if space is limited?

The SB is good, decent light, but it is a PITA to make flash adjustments. it's really not so bad, the front diffuser panel on mine is held on my velcro, just pull a corner, adjust, reattach, git ta shootin'

I guess my thought is on a blind call I'd rather be over armed than underpowered. Of course, no set covers everything.
