There's a little weirdness going on in the neck area right under her chin. But it might just be shadows.

Anywhoodles, I love it. I think it's gorgeous.

I agree, the shadows make it look like she has a scar or something there maybe. Try some PP on it possibly.

I disagree, the eyes match IMO. If they were brighter, I would agree, but here they seem to match the complexion and mood very well.

Now for my own comment, I almost want to say lighten the subject up a little more, seems almost underexposed. Also, did you do any skin PP? There are some spots where the make-up seems a little heavy and could be blended or softened slightly--not much though (but that's just because I'm not too much of a "soft skin" fan) I would have to see how it looks afterwards, but other than that, it's a great image!

I dont think they are overdone, they are done just unevenly.
It was just a test shot so I already spent too much time for cleaning her skin.

Thanks.
It looks like shadow from main light. Some day I need to do a proper shoot with a model who dont need that much PP. Lighting ratio is actually wrong here and it makes her skin look bit weird

I knew somebody is going to say its too dark. At the moment I think its little bit too bright as I wanted ambient candle light kind of feel. Yeah her skin needed a lot of PP (too much for a test shot) and I can still see after downsizing some uneven areas. I like the concept and really want to shoot it again. This is good example how tethered shooting helps you see how light falls on model. I just checked LCD on back of camera quickly and it looked ok but when I saw it on my monitor I knew it was all wrong :(

Vesa, good shot but it seems that it's not what you wanted. It does look dark, though I see that you tried to get the candle light look, the picture's lighting does not tell the story.

Here's some ideas to try:

try to only light a part of her face. Short light her (she does have a wide face)
put a CTO filter and WB to Tungeten
Get a candle and light it up
Keep the xmas lights in the BG. They do add to the atmo of the shot.
keep the awesome hair light
watch the shadows. they do look strange. I'd PP them out.

I don't really understand why you decided to use ony modeling lights...
400 ISO is a bit high for close up portraits.

anyway. you get the idea. I'll try to practice with the" candle light" myself. Thanks for posting, man!

Misha, thanks for the info.
Try this and you will understand why I used modeling lights and ISO 400 ;)
F2.8 and ISO 400 was needed to get that ambient xmas light visible. There was no way to use so low setting on my strobes that could mach F2.8 so I needed to use modeling lights instead.
I think Im going to reshoot this in next week and put more effort to it so I dont have spend hours photoshopping badly lit image
