So cute! I love how they're shortlegged but still love the snow. My mini bounds around in it like a mad rabbit.

You should try out M mode when you're in the snow; you'll stop the underexposures.

thanks,I was using AV mode,playing with the aperture,what settings would you suggest for the snow ? I am in learning mode :)

and you have a mini too ?

I do have a mini... I think she sees more snow than yours but still only a few days a year:

If it is sunny out, start with:

ISO 200, 1/800, f/8

Take a shot with the dog and snow in the frame and look at the histogram. Make sure the right side of the curve is very nearly bumping the edge of the histogram chart... that will ensure the snow is almost white. Make sure you're using RAW so you can recover /fill as necessary.

thanks ! I still have to learn how to process RAW images from the camera.
