Chris,

These are pretty dark, I would move the exposure up higher.

Also I am assuming it was just 1 flash? If so you are going to need to up your ISO to help get proper exposure

IMO - Both images would benefit from being straightened. If you look at the images backgrounds both have elements that would make straightening them very easy.

As far as composition goes, the player in #2 is leaving the frame a little. I think I'd like to see a little more of the blue player's back and less open space on the right. Just my $0.02
