Great shots Shirley. The Chickadee is a classic pose, but this time, I love that dove shot the best. :)

Shirley,

These are Fabulous all of them, Love the shots in the snow, I can't decide which one I like best, I am torn between the Dove and the Chickadee...

The chickadee's pose and exposure are perfect , The snow as a BG makes him really pop on that perch, The dove fluffed up on the snow really makes for a classic and one I have not seen to often.

I think I gotta go with Mitch and agree the Dove gets the nod, all great shots, VERY well done!!!

Very nice set Shirley, I have to go with the dove, probably the best I have ever seen of one of those guys!

Great set Shirley, I have to go for the dove also, just for the detail and feather fluff.

These are all great Shirley.......it's a toss up between the downy and the chickadee for me.

Another vote for the dove from me, though all nice shots. Snow seems to set them off nicely.

Hi Shirley... no warblers this shoot?... ;) Beautiful backyard birds... love the goldfinch & beautiful dove...
I don't get the dove here in the winter, but all the above are hunkered down in a winter storm....

Thanks everyone. I've been getting about a dozen doves every day. They seem to be an easy shoot these days.
I'm afraid, DB, the Warblers are few and far between now. I miss them already.

Very nice!
I've been meaning to get out to my feeder one of these days with a camera. I'd like to be able to get closer than my kit lens can get me though.

Great job, Shirley. For me, the Chickadee is the hands down winner. The pose, the composition, the light, the exposure, the sharpness and the detail are all excellent. For me, this was an easy choice.
