I'm trying to figure out a better background then my last all black one with my current limited lighting setup. So I took the denim bath curtain we had and hung it up behind her. Maybe someone could give me some background suggestions.

what a great little model you have! Is your setup just a monolight with a softbox? I love the effect it produces. As for the background, either lower the output on your strobe or move it away from the models to allow a wider aperture and throw the background more out of focus.

She is such a poser sometimes...just that it's really hard to get a shot where she is the correct distance from the softbox. This time I backed up a bit to take a setup shot (helps to have a wide angle for my tight location).

I will try and see how much farther back I can go. This is as much space I can muster in this smallish 2 bedroom apartment. As for the setup here, it's a Alien Bee 800 with large softbox. I used a reflector on the other side to try and fill some light. That's it, no other lights. Posting this shot of this setup seems kind of like seeing the dirty kitchen where your food is coming from, lol. But if it taste good I guess, ;-P

Great shots. As for backgrounds, Walmart usually has a wide selection of fabrics for 1.00 a yard. Sometimes, you can even find 60 inch wide.

Excellent shots with a natural 'model', these pics showcase your skills well.
