The wife got me this lens as an early xmas gift so i was wondering on your thoughts of the quality and/or sharpness of the lens.

here are a couple of quick shots.

both shots are f/4 - 1/125sec - ISO 400, first one is with flash.

They look really overexposed - almost whiteout conditions.

yeah i don't see anything either...you could just post the links if it's easier...but honestly if you don't see anything wrong...quit worrying about flickr, and go enjoy your new lens...

Is this an onboard flash?

I can't say much for the image quality, since they are shrunk down, but the overall shot is too harsh for me. I'd suspect the flash method is the issue.

EDIT: the second one is alright. The depth of field works.

The first one is trying to read the paper but there's some food in the way.

The second is staring at the person behind the camera who's trying to figure out the new lens...
