You do this thing with some of your compositions where the rest of the picture is out of the frame, or it is composed right to left (your controversial beach candid comes to mind). I like that you break the "rules" and come up with some interesting pictures. I'm not sure all of this is intentional, but it must be there in your mind, "I like it this way," and snap, you got it. Pretty cool. I think that if taken from a lower perspective you might lose the sense of distance the subject is obviously contemplating. Perhaps lamenting even? Is there someone or something she needs across the bay? Overall, it's just a little different, and I like it that way.

I think you need to be closer into it. I think that's the biggest difference between shots today in the digital craze. Everyone tends to avoid the contact(unless its posed), which gives it a nice personal feel. Go UCLA
