Cute moment.. I love shots of kiddos just doing their thing and not paying attention to the camera.

I think the shot would carry a little more weight if you could have stepped a little farther to camera left and included more of his face in the shot.

Conversion looks nic,e maye just needs a bit of contrast boost.. . easily done with curves, or you can even try adding USM around 15-40-0 and play with it from there.
