My niece Sarah Mae and my mother. Sarah is by her own estimation a big girl now and must wear lipstick at all times. Taken with the Digital Rebel and the 50 f/1.8

2nd one is great. I wish your mother wasn't as cut out, but regardless, it still has a nice touch, with good lighting and composition. It has a nice theme to it.

Lovely shots, the B&W is a great conversion job nice and contrasty, just how I like em', thanks for sharing.

Nicely lit on both images! Tack sharp, very nice. I like the crop in that second one as well. Cute kid!
