Recently purchased a Rebel XT and have the battery grip coming in tomorrow. Am thinking of getting a flash bracket and would appreciate any advice on a good flash bracket in mid price range.

It's well made and seems durable, and has the advantage that the flash and camera are always oriented the same way. Don't forget the off shoe cable. Thanks for the responses, it is very helpful. For the off shoe cable, I have a 580EX flash and think I can use a wireless transmitter to eliminate the cables. Is that correct? "A good photograph is knowing where to stand." -Ansel Adams

No, the camera needs the cable to trigger the flash. 580 can be tiggered by another flash without a cable. --JWR

A cable would be a more reliable, less bulky, and cheaper ($50 vs. $200 by my estimate) solution.
