Took this photo of my daughter and thought I would play with some post processing kind of a Jill Greenberg effect. Love to here your thoughts.

i like lighting/processing here and feel.
my thoughts:
i'd rotate image so placing her head to the left upper section and left hand in the right bottom section and bow would go in right upper corner.
well something like that but would be better if built in camera viewfinder

great comment Roman I have quite a few other poses similar to what you have suggested I just did not like the face as much but maybe I will play with it some more.

Ok Roman I went back and edited the photo is this better?

Nickbunyun there are four lights here one in front with soft box filling her face one on either side behind the girl giving us the light for her hair and cheeks and then one on the background.

wow this is pretty cool! nice processing i I do like the tilt in the edit. makes the picmore dynamic and alive. The light is spot on. Lovely commercial look of the green BG which is nicely done. you are growing lots!

Thanks Misha for your kind remarks I am trying to get more creative and not just do family portraits so for now I just have to use my kids to practice my techniques.

Nice shots; i've always been curious, how does one create background light like so? it seems to be such a unified, softly lit circle, i don't understand how to achieve it??

You can try using a spot grid on your light which I have done with success or use a snoot also very successful or if you want to make sure it is perfect and match your subject perfectly you can do what I did here and put it in in post by selecting the background and then using a gradient fill in photoshop. :D
