Trying to evaluate 7D and EF 500/4.5L(18 years old, but recently bought) combo for Hand held BIF. I was lucky to spot this little one in the park looking for food. Not baited and taken in the wild(as stated above). Little top heavy but it works well.

Very nice. At 18 years old, that lens must have been one of the first EF 500 lenses.

Superb shots, I take it he was flying rather than hovering.

Beautiful bird, magnificent shots. I couldn't get such good shots if he were stationary.

Great looking Kestrel series!

My 300 f4L (non-is) is over 20 years old and is still as sharp as ever!
