These are two shots that I've only just gotten around to really editing to my liking. Both work really well in color but I thought they looked better in B&W and desaturated moderately. Let me know your thoughts on composition, color choice (or lack thereof), and post processing technique.

These were done in Lightroom with virtually no sharpening, just the color adjustments, a light vignette, and a bit of black inserted.

I can post the originals if anyone feels that would allow them to better critique what I've done.

Thanks, all. Criticisms? Things I missed? Improvements? Do the edits work or you think full color would've been better?

These were both shot "on the fly" so they are not studio shots or anything, which meant I had to work with what I had. The first was taken at church (she was sitting under a table!) and the second was taken in a gymnasium so lighting wasn't that great either.

I love #2. I would crop a little off the top and clone out the dark corner in the upper right. It draws my eye away from the subject.

I agree on the clone part. I haven't tried that in post-processing really so it's something I'll have to learn.

I don't know about the crop suggestion, though. On here, I can't see that full picture without scrolling so it would be good to get the full effect by using a crop. However, I kind of think it would be a bit cramped since she has so little room under her feet. If I cropped the top, I think it'd feel cramped.
