I'm unhappy about every shoot I do - i just can't reach the fullest extent of the vision I see in my mind and it frustrates me.
Every shoot I do I wish I had done something differently... but there's only so much little time, maybe the weather sucks, maybe there's something uncontrollable that happens, maybe there's not enough time to plan, or too much time and no communication,

With film, there was always something that I thought I could have changed slightly to come up with a better image. With digital & PS, I still pick my shots apart, but now I can fix some of those things after the fact. All in all, life is good, but editorial shooting is still a process with me & I expect to trash most of the images.

More on that here:

I think, if taking photos for a client, then if the client is happy, then we should be as well.

However we can still find faults in our work which should drive us to better and better work as time goes on.

uuuuugh, yes
I am always over analyzing/nit picking/critiquing every shot I take.
Im one of those ppl that expect perfection from myself even tho i haven't been shooting long.
Esp. when I look back at the pics I shot say 6 months ago compared to now...yikes.

2 weekens ago I did a corporate Christmas party and HATE the results. They loved them, and booked next year already, but I hate what came out. But then I had horrible constraints for a spot to set up. And was limited as to what I could do. It definatley was one of thoes jobs you learn from, and then add to your arsonel of tricks to get around problems.
