Potentially my final piece for my AS Level Photography coursework, entitled 'The City'. For some reason when I uploaded it it became darker... strange... C&C much appreciated! :)

Sounds like your monitor may not be calibrated.

I really like the portait but why is he crying? What is that building?

I get the feeling he may be thinking
Damn that's a whole lot of stairs

I know I would be

My idea was to create an emotive image which was open to personal interpretation, and which combined the two main feats of 'The City' (i.e. buildings and people), so he is crying for whatever reason you feel he is. Personally, the first thing that comes to my mind is the trauma of the rat race, but as I say, it's up to you. :p Here's the portrait before and after manipulation if anyone's interested:

He's probably crying because what his Barber did to him.

I just got my first pair of glasses that I didn't think I needed. I apologize to anybody in the past year that I said their pictures were out of focus lol.

I don't really understand why the two shots have been placed together. You've said to make our own interpretations but to me it's just two random images.

The 'tears' (i.e. water dripped into his eyes) were already in the original photograph, I just enhanced them in the manipulation to make them more visible, so their positions are exactly where they would be. :p
