Exactly...and if you try to use a 7D technique on a 300D, your going to be disappointed.

As I said, I had a 300D. My technique stretches from an old Yashica A TLR through 4x5--technique suitable to the 300D is in there. It would still be more difficult to take any picture with the 300D than with the 7D, and there would be many pictures I can take with the 7D that can't be taken with the 300D.

She thinks I should upgrade to a 5D. Sounds lovely, and I'm not knockin' the 5D, but for me
right now I don't feel its nessesary.

Someone on pg 1 asked what my backup is, and it's the Rebel XSI. Not exactly ideal, but it'll do the trick for now.

I'm not opposed to upgrading in a year or so, but I found it funny how she was hounding me for our whole meeting that I really NEED the 5D instead of a new external flash or a new lens (two things I REALLY want!). I was tempted to tell this Photog 'friend' to give me a couple thousand and I'd be HAPPY to upgrade! LOL

Maybe she's got one she wants to get rid of.

maybe u should chuck ur kit lens and go for Tammy 17-50 2.8+flash.
or canon 17-55 2.8+flash(assuming u can afford 5D). If u do buy 5D, all ur lenses will be useless except for the white one.

Hey Milla...go for the flash first, lens second! The new body can wait for next year!
