The first shot is at home with the backdrop and my softbox in action. Im new to the home studio and just trying to practice as much as possible!  2.  Canon 60d with Canon 18-55mm,Canon 28-80mm, canon 50mm 1.8, Canon 50mm 1.4, Tamron 17-50mm, Sigma 70-200 2.8 and Samyang Fisheye 8mm f3.5!

I'm no expert, but if I could CC the first pic the lighting is on the wrong side for me. I would suggest the shade side should be the far side of the pic? Canon 20D, 17-85 mm f/4-5.6 IS , 50MM f1.8.

I understand where you are coming from with the comment, but I deliberately went for that look. I also have a second light, I could have used to fill in the shadows if required. Many thanks though!
