Here are two shots of my 4 year old daughter, Laney Olivia. The first shot is at home with the backdrop and my softbox in action. Im new to the home studio and just trying to practice as much as possible!

The second was outside at home after we had returned from her school christmas fayre. She had her face painted. I did not do any post processing on the hair as I preferred the natural look.

Ok firstly nice pics. I'm no expert, but if I could CC the first pic the lighting is on the wrong side for me. I would suggest the shade side should be the far side of the pic?

Thanks for the CC. I understand where you are coming from with the comment, but I deliberately went for that look. I also have a second light, I could have used to fill in the shadows if required. Many thanks though!

No, this is a "short-lighted" portrait, and the direction was chosen perfectly based on the width of the child's face.

Wow, that first one is stunning. Fantastic - I love the pose and the way she is looking off.
