Canon warranty question & MArk III

...probably a simple answer for someone.

If one were to buy a 1D MK III from Ebay that has a blank warranty card (CAN/US), will the one year warranty be usable? Some camera's are new old stock etc....I want to know because if I bought one with Visa, I could have 2 years of warranty.
