I've heard the magic triggers are good and only around $35-50. I just bit the bullet and ordered a 430EX II, and I would like the option of triggering it off camera. Basically I'm doing a lot of interior experimentation shots, and I've never done much flash photography anyway.
I keep heaqring about RF-602's, but now little about them, but also heard about themagic triggers which are also sold on ebay. Are there any other options I should know about, or any additional wires or anything I might need? I'm trying to keep this as light and simple as possible.

I don't know if the triggers you are looking at come with pc sync cords. I needed to buy those from flashzebra. They connect the triggers to the flash.

I have one set left of the Tetras. 2 receivers and 1 transmitter, new in box = $41, each receiver with a sync cord.

I am not sure of your budget, but those that have used the Tetra units are happy. Phottix used to make a combo flash and shutter remote system called the Strato, but dropped the line earlier in the year.

See my signature for the sale link if you are interested. There are many different units on ebay as well, just read the feedback specifically for the unit being sold to see what others say.
