Taken 45 minutes after sunset. 10 sec exposure to capture the sky's blue light, though it appeared completely black to the eye. 580EXII was fired handheld in manual mode, approx. 10 o'clock angle from the camera and about 6 feet away, held 8 feet into the air.

LMK what you think. I am starting to enjoy OCF after my very first outing!

I think you have too much strobe & not enough good highlights from the sky in the body. You could have started with something like this & just pumped a tiny bit of flash in?
Malibu in the snow. Look through it for a screenshot of the Layers Palette showing one way to blend exposures.

Thanks Frank! That is very helpful. I do need to learn that as I continue to explore OCF. In the "Automotive Strobe Setup" thread here, some members had mentioned having blended several pictures to achieve the desired result with OCF. I am never amazed at how much I don't know; it is a given!

This pic is to be used for a 2010 calendar by our local car enthusiasts' club, by the way; all the more reason to extract the most out of its visual elements.

Thank you! Much appreciated; a lot of work and money have gone into it. I have considered the Volk Time Attack style wheels but for a visual mod that drastic, one has to fully commit to it. That would mean getting rid of all silver accents on the exterior including door handles and emblems. And to me, the silver door handles are among the nicest touches on the Z. Painting them a flat black would make their lines practically invisible to the eye!
