If you factor in US$180 for a shutter plus a couple of hours labour in the event it does eventually fail - does the equation get too expensive? some fairly old canon camera stuff, canon lenses, Manfrotto "thingy", and an M5, also an M6 that has had a 720nm filter bolted onto the sensor:
