Rang up a few friends and here are the results. I am looking for feedback as I feel there is a lot of room for improvement. I took more than 700 shots, and here are a few I'd like to share.

Apart from one or two, they are straight out the camera. My main concern is they weren't very sharp, and I had trouble with focusing whilst shooting (it would only focus in the middle, not focus on the car for example if it was off-center) and with this lens getting a nice composition.

Camera: 50D
Lens: Sigma 10-20mm
Mode: Tv
Either 1/100 or 1/250
Rest was all automatic.

First of all, your friends have good (and very expensive) taste in vehicles! Love the Geländewagen (..u know if its a real Brabus?), ducati, and even the heritage M colors on the M3; nice touch!

As for pics here's my 2 cents: (and I'm more of a noob than you so take it or leave it lol)
-I like the slight blur of the wheels/road/background for speed sense
- maybe play around with cropping on a few and less extreme angle on some of them. Angles can add interest but sometimes too much especially when there doesn't appear to be "too" much speed taking place makes it a little much... :) I know these vehicles have the potential for great speeds but driver/rider body language tells the viewer they're cruising. Next time tell yur buddies to act like they're going fast lol.

some folks might mention shadow stuff, but I really like the shadow action on the last bike shot. Next time you're in that situation I'd try to get the entire shadow of the bike in the picture as part of the composition w/out your camera vehicle being in it. Right there a subtle crop and color/contrast/saturation tweaking will really give it some pop.

The lighting or exposure looks better to me on the first couple bike pics.
With that quality of subjects it would also be interesting to have some cluster shots with some/all of them closer together, as long as they all know what to expect from each other and can do it safely on public roads.

Nice shots!

I agree with the poster above on his CC, as well as your friends choices in toys (nice and $$$).

To add, I am personally not a fan of angled photos....at least nothing drastic. Thats just IMO, you might enjoy those shots......as well as others. Also, try to find a friend with a 4 door vehicle, or possible even a pickup truck......as you want to be shooting the other way on the road you chose (you shot primarily shadow side). Also direct sunlight is not your friend, but sometimes can produce a cool shot every once in a while.

Do you have any filters? a graduated ND filter and a CP filter would help out quite a bit with affect. Not picking you apart, just adding some CC.

another suggestion... take pictures of ducatis from the other side... rolling shots really show off the single sided swingarm.

The reflections in #1 are pretty nice.
As Mick pointed out, sorry, but in the "Share" areas IMAGE POSTING RULES only allow 2 attachments by the OP per thread, OR 8 embedded (linked) images, OR a combination of both totaling 8. (Maximum 1024 pixels on any side.) You can always just post a link to more, though, or better yet, post a link to a gallery so we don't have to click on each image link.
Some exceptions are group threads, like "Show Me...", "Post your best...", equipment reviews, Tutorials, etc.
You may add a few additional photos if requested, but only in a reply to other member's post and request.
My main concern is they weren't very sharp, and I had trouble with focusing whilst shooting (it would

only focus in the middle, not focus on the car for example if it was off-center)

Focus on a headlight. If that's sharp, then let the blur work for you:

Of course, you'll have to throw a lot of "almost" shots away. ;)

Thanks for the feedback everyone, and keep it coming. I'm still very much learning, and hope to be up there soon.

Apologies on the image overpost...

Amazing Cars & Bikes! Love the 1098 :)

you need slower shutter speeds

if you're not 100% confident in using full Manual mode, put the camera in "A" (aperture priority) mode turn the dial on to f8 and ISO 100 then take some shots again. This may help you in getting more motion style pics.

Good luck dude :)
