Tamron 28-75 is a really, really good lens for the price.

I tried to sell mine, nobody bought it. I have a 24-70L I only use for a few specific things during a wedding, and the more I think about it the more I feel like I'd be able to get more use out of a 16-35L or 24L instead.

This Tamron...sharp, great quality photos, even at the edges it's quite good, even wide open. It also has 1/3 stop brighter exposure at same settings (on wide or long end, don't remember which). Considering that I almost never use the 24-70 anymore, I really have to wonder if I should sell it, keep the Tamron for backup purposes, and buy a 16-35 or 24L. I wouldn't use the Tamron for fast paced spots where I need quick AF, but for IQ and size it's really top notch.

I had both the 24-70 and the 28-75 for a month.. they were producing VERY similar results... So i sold the 24-70.. and got a 135L.

I came to the conclusion that 135L + 28-75 > 24-70 ... for the same $$

Smart money is on keeping the Tamron and grabbing a 24L or as Drozz did, a 135L

I have a 135L, 35L, 85L, 70-200 f/2.8L IS, and Sigma 10-20....I use them for weddings. I almost never use the 135L or 70-200 anymore since I got the 85L. I've been thinking about selling the 24-70 because I use the 35L for 75% of my photos now, and the 85L for another 24%. I have been considering the 24L or 16-35L but I am not in a position to spend money, so 16-35L would have to be version I and the 24L II (much better quality than the I version) is still out of the price range.
