Both at the same time sound even better. .45 moves slow enough we could probably catch them in mid flight with a fast strobe. >=D

Anyone going to wppi this week?

So can you guys give me some Vegas tips? I come out a bunch, just less now with 2 little ones.

What's should I expect out of the weather on the Strip this weekend? Do I need a jacket at night? Is it much colder away from the strip? So if I go shoot Red Rocks or something should I dress warmer?

Any restaurant recommendations? I know new stuff is popping up all the time.

I have eaten at Aureole, Charlie Palmer Steak (loved it), N9NE, Nobu, Little Budda, Wolfgang Pucks Italian joint, and some Italian joint at the Bellagio. Those are the only ones worth mentioning.

What about golf? Any good courses that us tourists wouldn't know about or have to spend $400 to play?

I come in for a wedding on Thursday and we are eating at the restaurant at the top of the Stratosphere.

I will have most of my gear with me including my tri-pod. My buddy is driving out to see his family in AZ on Friday so I may just rent a car and head somewhere to shoot Friday morning/afternoon.

Anyone play poker? Any tournaments you recommend? I play NL hold em and Omaha/ Omaha hi-lo...

rub n tug places? lol...

shooting if we do this on a Sunday: I need to know how many are coming...start early Sunday morning till noon time...2 locations Desert Sportsman, 1 mile off 215 on the way to red rock- free and we can set up our own private set up, shoot as much as we want, but need to have ear and eye protections, I can provide ear plugs, and you can use polycarbonate sun glasses, we can also watch ongoing matches USPSA and rifle; limit is 4 per member so I need to lookfor another member to have 8 guests total.

or at Clark County range at end of Decatur north on the foot of sheeps range-$7/day for both pistol and rifle range, rental ear and eye protection available...and must shoot with hundred other shooters and tragte set up is almost fixed Actually better if we do on a weekday here so it will not be crowded.

Show of hands please with preferred dates.

My wife and kids are staying home for this one. I am going out for a wedding Thursday night. Staying with my buddy from college but he is taking off for Arizona Friday morning for the night. So Friday night it is just me. Thats why I may play some poker.

He comes back Sat so we may hit up a nice restaurant Sat night. He leaves early Sunday which is when I plan on shooting before my flight Sunday night.

What's should I expect out of the weather on the Strip this weekend?
the forecast is calling for it to warm up into the high 60s/low 70s by the weekend, which is far better than the mid 50s we've had.

Do I need a jacket at night?
A light jacket for the strip, or maybe a sweater should do.

Is it much colder away from the strip?
if you stay in town, no. however the strip is pretty decently shielded from wind usually, so if it's windy then it might seem colder

So if I go shoot Red Rocks or something should I dress warmer?
When you goto Red Rock this time of the year it's best to dress in layers, so I would say prepare for it being 10 degrees cooler at red rock, just to be safe.

Any restaurant recommendations?
I have no clue, Anthony will hook ya up tho.

What about golf? Any good courses that us tourists wouldn't know about or have to spend $400 to play?
Since it's the off season right now green fees shouldn't be nearly as bad as they are during the 'season' I haven't golfed in years but homefully someone on here has some info

I come in for a wedding on Thursday and we are eating at the restaurant at the top of the Stratosphere.
I've heard good things about that resturant.

so I may just rent a car and head somewhere to shoot Friday morning/afternoon.
Great idea, the biggest mistake I see people visiting make is not renting a car. Rent a car and drive outta town to see some stuff you might not have seen yet.

Anyone play poker? Any tournaments you recommend?
Most casinos have poker rooms these days, not sure where it's hot tho. A friend of mine plays at Planet Hollywood a lot and she usually kicks a$$ over there.

rub n tug places? lol..
Tons of massage parlors, especially right off the north end of the strip. I have no idea how legit they are, but I do know that about 65% of them don't have business licenses.

.

hope that helps man.
