I few of the alligators that I saw while exploring the Babcock-Webb WMA near Punta Gorda, Fl. All with a Canon XT and Tamron 70-300. C&C welcome.

Good set, John. It's not always easy to get good poses, because they don't move for long periods and you don't want to prod them.

Those pics look like the ones a Tamron would take. I love how this lens performs. Is this the non-os version?

I used the cheapo Tamron 70-300 DI LD Tele-Macro 1:4-5.6. I would like to have used a lens in some shade of white;), but budget demands that I "run what I brung and hope I brung enough".

Great shots! I think this lens for the price is very hard to beat, I don't see myself getting rid of mine any time soon.

Where I come from grass is about 2-3" tall, so I keep wondering is that REALLY tall grass or REALLY small gators lol????????
