My flashes and my strobe, and....your comments

so check this out. I have 430ex2 and the 580 ex2...
I have the white lighting x2400
and the Calument Tx and Rx
also the St-E2

anyways long story made short....how can I ghetto rig all of this

so that way I can have 3 light setup....


YES YES I KNOW ALREADY that I need to pick up another flash and complete it like that, but that why i said GHETTO RIG....

I want the strobe to work with the two flashes, and I got the equipment to make it happen.

I THINK

come on people you know your shiiiiii..... help a playa out

you can fire both your speedlites in master/slave mode using the STE2. those flashes will in turn trigger the WL thru optical triggering. I think WL has an optical sensor that will detect the flashes from your speedlite.

hmmmmm, alright, im hooking that up tonight then,

btw just out of curiosity is my 580 stronger then my 430 ? or just has more options but in reality the same ?

Nope, that's not going to work. As soon as the ST-E2 sends out the command signals to the slave EX flashes, the WL strobes will fire and drown out the command signal. So, the WL strobes will fire prematurely and the EX slaves will not, resulting in an unlit image.

But, you can hook up the WL strobes to the Calumet remotes (with the Tx unit connected to the PC sync port of the camera) and then fire the EX flashes, set to manual slave mode, with the ST-E2.

so basically I am connecting my Calumet and the St-E2 together at the same time to the camera ?

Couldnt do it on my XTI, because of a thing thingy, Ill explain later didnt want to mess with my 5ds so I did it on my 50d WORKS LIKE A CHARM.

Thanks a bunch, but ideally I guess having a third flash would be better,
