TRA worth it? Yes, to me they are. I bought all of them and never looked back.
Every photo is different... I can use the SAME exact action on one, and then use it on another photo, and the result can be totally different. It all depends on the colors and style in the original photo.
I use the editing tools more than the actual creative edits from TRA, tho... they save me time, and time is money, so they're worth the price, IMHO.
Besides, most of our unique look should come from the photos themselves, not the color treatment that we apply. The creative actions just add an edge, or something different, if you will, to a normal color photo. I create recipe upon recipe with TRA's and love the results. It's actually a lot of fun!
I added them on Facebook and once in a while they run specials just for their fans. I got the whole package at 25% off. Worth a try, I say :)

When I first got CS3, I bought the TRA 1 package. I had no idea what I was doing when it came to PS, so the TRA pack really helped me understand actions and what you can do with them. I'll totally admit in the beginning I used Technicolor Dream World WAYYY too much! I have TRA2 and really like it as well. I also use the editing tools more than the effects. And I like their pro retouch action. I've researched like crazy to produce my own skin smoothing tool, and all of mine have been crap compared to ProRetouch.

So for me, yes the price was worth it.

I have them and find them great!
You can adjust them to your style with the layer masks.

Me too! Pro retouch, yin/yang, burn out and boutwell magic glasses get used on atleast 70% of my photos, lol. The eye bump on pro retouch is great for the dark circles under the eyes...so is yin/yang :) been a life saver (and time saver)

I dont use many actions, but I do actually have a set of Kubota actions (can't remember which number). There are a few vignettes that i like, as well as some sharpening recipes i use when needed.
