the flash to the right is a little bright and the shadows on the wall are distracting, other then that they are okay...i cant wait for some snow here in toronto.

I love the second one so much better.

I actually just watched a FuelTV show about a skateboarder from Kamloops BC.

Chris, I think you have not enough skier and too much of everything else. Try using your 50mm and shoot up at the subject. It will be a start to give you less of a "documentary" look. Try some different angles. I don't shoot snow (Florida) but you may be able to get some interesting bounce lighting off the snow itself at twilight.

Berger came out this summer for the Es game of skate, my buddy had to play him here in NJ. Good game but Matt ended up winning, kid has an awesome style!

Ya man, and he's a pleasure to shoot with. I don't know how he's so good, he's amazing at snowboarding as well, just natural for him I guess

Let me be the 1st to say; f*** sliding down an icy rail on a pair of sticks! :O

Anway; ambient light is a bit low, for my liking; the flash on the right feels like it has too much power (unsure of circumstances, 1/16th probably would have done as background light), as it's blown out a fair few things, as well as giving some overly dramatic shadows. The fill light on the skier (skier, rider, eh?) looks good, though, still kept all of the details which is good.

Also, possibly shoot from a little more front on? try to acheive a little less boring background.
