What are the best ones and where can I find them? Will radio shack have one? Will 16 gigs be enough? I have $65 to spend. What are some of the fastest memory cards in that price range? If need be, I can go to best buy, but the nearest one is an hour away. We live in a small town. The only gadget shop in town is radio shack.

Thanks folks! :)

"Best" is generally going to be defined by your needs/shooting style. For an exhaustive list of statistics on read/write speed, check out:

If you have $65 to spend, avoid Best Buy. There is a 4gb card for $52, than faster UDMA cards, an 8gb for $160ish and a 16 gb for nearly $300. B&H may be a good option for you for more variety.

I would have already gone to walmart if there was one closer than an hour away. I'll have to beg my husband to take me then.

I'm into wildlife/nature photography. Anything fast with a decent quality will do. That list is helpful. Thanks!

I'll look on B&H. Thanks for the advice!

Thanks for the link... great chart comparing speeds of cards.

The best prices I have found is:
1. Costco (but a bit slower card than I wanted)
2. Adorama (good selection)
3. Amazon (unknown sellers, so a bit dicey I think).

Probably end up ordering from Adorama.

Also check out Newegg.ca prices since they also have a presence in Canada.

Amazon generally has good deals on flash memory, just make sure you are getting it direct from amazon and not a 3rd party seller.

I looked on Amazon, but the best price was from a 3rd party seller.
That is why I was looking at Adorama. Google shopping had some
OK prices too, but not that much cheaper (only 3 or 4 dollars) so
back to Adorama.

Thanks, I looked at Newegg.ca, but the .com prices were better
(considering shipping and all) and I have a US mailing address I
can use.

I also like Amazon and go there before eBay any day.

Wally world in Canada only had a 80X Lexar CF card for $50.

Also check out the discussion in the 7D thread re: memory cards.
