This was not a result I expected. I was going to shoot some snapshots of my son's second birthday. I knew he would have a window behind him, so I set my camera to ~properly expose for outside and then lit the room with a bounced flash.
In the first shot I got exactly what I expected, both the room and the outside are exposed reasonably well.
In the second my angle to the window was such that the indoor scene got reflected. My camera settings were otherwise the same.
Here is the part that seems strange to me. The reflected inside scene is a lot darker than the outdoors. Isn't it weird that I cannot see the brighter outside through the reflection?
