I thought I would try something a little bit different than my usual posting style to bring you the end of my almost 2 1/2 years traveling through multiple cities (sometimes more than once) and two countries with Bruce Springsteen & The E Street Band.

Rather than post individual concert dates, I thought of grouping the photos by style or subject/theme. I'm sure some of you are bored with individual dates anyway.

First up some black and white shots taken during the last 2 months of the tour.

As always, comments and critique are appreciated.

Great shots (as usual) Tony. #7 is definitely my favourite - that's not taking anything away from the other shots.

Last is a nice moment.

The two shots with motion blur don't work for me: Wrong kind / direction / whatever of blur.

Thank you, Richard. I like the moment in # 7 also. That was taken on the last night of the tour. I was all set for the actual moment that he falls into the crowd from a platform about 50' away from the main stage before he crowd surfs back to the stage and at that very moment that I am clicking the shutter, Danny Clinch jumps up on the platform and starts shooting. Danny has unfettered access to Bruce (it's good to be the king) but I did give him a little bit of crap backstage later...in a good natured way...I know he was not blocking my shot just doing his job.

Thank you, René. I believe I know what you are saying but there is something that harkens back to circa '78 in the first shot that really speaks to me. Bruce's webmaster loves that shot and immediately picked that one for his site.

Great pics, but the short hair and cap doesn't seem to be working. For a second I thought I was looking at Brian Johnson from AC/DC.

Thank you. bw!

Thank you. Bruce snatched that cap off of an audience member's head. In the 70's he wore similar hats a lot.

I like 3 and 7 a lot. Number one COULD work for me, but I think his face looks really freaky with the motion blur. Generally I like my shots sharper, but maybe i will try experimenting with some blur -- I am relatively new to this scene, so throwbacks to yesteryear escape me.

i will hop on the 7 bandwagon too, with 3 a strong runner up. nice one! bruce surfed @ the show i shot (during 'hungry heart' i believe) but it was after the 1st 3 songs. i've got a pretty identical shot like #4. the motion blur shots don't work for me; too much in #1 and had his face been sharper in the other, it would have made a stronger image. it's tough to get that right mix unless you are bracketing for shutter speed or something like that.

Back in '78 (# 1 was taken the night Bruce did the album Darkness On The Edge of Town which was released and toured in '78) Bruce moved around so much and with so much energy, there are few photos without motion blur. I did my best to evoke those images.

Thank you, Tim. I agree with you on getting that exact mix. Sometimes you get close but not spot on. Both of those photos come close. # 7 was taken during Hungry Heart which was in the # 3 slot.

I saw your Bruce photos on your site but not here on POTN. You have some stunning captures of that night.
