Still trying to figure out exactly how I want to shoot swimming. I liked the results this produced over putting the flash up on a stand. The pool is horribly lit. Has a few lights out as well. EOS 7D Sigma 70-200 F2.8 (1.4 extender outdoors) are the workhorses. 50D for backup, EF 70-300MM USM f/4-5.6 IS, Freelance photographer for local newspapers and my website viewthroughmylens.net

I actually use manual for everything including my camera. I am not 100% sure what my flash setting was, but if I had to guess . . it was zoomed to 105mm at 1/2 power. You did a nice job. I'd still crank up the shot speed and ISO a little to freeze hand movement, but you did really well.
