Around this place, one person's vacation photos are another person's back yard.

Palm trees and snow....now that is a stretch!

I have nothing for this topic. We really haven't been on a 'vacation' for years. Lots of weekend trips and overenighters, but no vacations.

I'm not short. I'm concentrated awesome!

One is clearly overdue, Chief.

But if you were to whisk Lois away somewhere, where would you go?

I count those as vacations. Anything out of the house requiring an overnight stay is a vacation in my book. :)

Not sure why, but call me JJ.

I would love someday to go to England/Western Europe.

My dream spot is Oz. I so want to go down under and just wander around for a summer.

I haven't had a real vacation since 1989. So I consider 3 day weekend trips vacations for the purpose of todays topic.:D The photo I posted with palm trees and snow was from a Friday/Saturday trip to Redlands a year ago. On the way in from the Ontario airport, I saw that long string of locomotives you posted. It was pretty impressive.

What do you consider a vacation?

I agree with Gil, out of the house overnight is a vacation. lol Especially if I'm out of my home town.

I'd prefer New Zealand over Australia. Scenery is better in NZ IMHO.
