Any thread regulars sporting a 7D?
Are you experiencing any of the AF issues that seem to be cropping up of late?

I am shooting a 7D and am totally baffled by the AF comments popping up. There is only one camera body that I have shot that does better and that's the 1DMkIII. I'm sure the IV does better as well but I haven't seen one yet.

THe other day I was out shooting model aircraft. These little guys move fast, real fast. Even when coming directly at me the 7D nailed focus. Of the *off counting pics* 37 pictures I took that day 7 I post processed and only three I discarded because of bad focus. Thats a pretty high keeper rate in my book.

I posted some of the pics, but here is one anyway.
Posted because I tracked this one in and took multiple shots. None OOF. Maybe my standards are low but that looks pretty in focus to me.

Oh.. Did ok with birds as well. This is about a 50% crop as these guys were much farther away, but still it looks like the 7D focused as expected.

Actually I see it as a good thing. Last year April was gorgeous , warm every day, sunny, very un-April like. May came and it got cold and stayed cold until the middle of June. I opened the pool 2 weeks before the 4th of July last year because it was just to dang cold to swim.

So maybe this year April will be April and May and June will be what May and June should be.

In all seriousness though, nicely done dood. :)
